Frequently Asked Questions
-
Counselling can help if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, stuck, or struggling with life events, relationships, loss, or other emotional challenges. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. It’s a space to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.
-
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and any questions or concerns you may have. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with.
-
There is no set number of sessions, as everyone’s needs are different. Some people find short-term therapy helpful, while others benefit from longer-term support. We will regularly review your progress together.
-
Confidentiality is a fundamental part of counselling. Everything you share will remain private, except in rare situations where there is a serious concern about your safety or the safety of someone else, or where disclosure is required by law. This will always be discussed with you wherever possible.

I support clients experiencing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth. If you’re unsure whether I can help, please get in touch for an informal conversation.

Many clients come to therapy for the first time feeling nervous or uncertain. That’s completely understandable. My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you can talk at your own pace.
-
You can book an appointment by using the contact form on my website, sending me an email, or calling me directly. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a suitable time.
-
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less notice may be charged in full.
